On Sunday 29 September, for the ninth (!) time, Refugee Council Flanders will mobilise a broad public to support people who have fled their country from war, violence or persecution through a unique sponsorship drive. Worldwide, these people now number more than 100 million. Participants of the Refugee Walk therefore walk a route of their choice from all corners of our country - and sometimes very far beyond - and use their network to sponsor them to do so. All the money goes to Refugee Council Flanders. In this way, they make a direct impact on the lives of people on the run.
