The place that every tourist for the first time there must visit is the Citadel of Namur, you can get there by enjoying the view from the cable car! The price is reasonable, but there are also other ways of getting there.

The Cathedral of Saint Aubin is the only cathedral in Belgium in late Baroque style, inside you can find diverse works of art from Van Dijk to old Romanesque.

La Rue de Fer is the commercial heart of Namur, you can find on Saturday the weekly public market! Looking for a museum to visit? The Felicien Rops Museum honors the namurois painter, his provocative and symbolic paintings won't leave you indifferent.

Park Louise Marie

NATURE

The park Louise-Marie is on the other hand, the perfect park to have a picnic. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and pick one of the paths for a nice walk. Inside it you can find the Jean Chalon Garden. It is a theme park that reflects on the relationship between man and plants in history. There are sacred trees, alchemist plants and over 300 other species to see.

At the citadel, you can find two other interesting gardens. The Jardin des senteurs (Garden of scents), full with perfumed plants to delight your senses, and the Jardin des deux tours (Garden of the two towers) with a medieval inspired theme.
