Gent Fair Trade (a collaboration between Oxfam and the City of Ghent) has 3 or 4 positions for international volunteers a year. These volunteers are part of the organisational team of the local Fair Trade Movement, collaborating with the local government, entrepreneurs and civil society to promote fair trade practices.

The city of Ghent has been recognized as one of the European frontrunners when it comes to social justice and fair trade practices. You are more than welcome to help us maintain this position.

All positions are for youngsters (below 31 years of age).

The focus of this position is on organizing events, setting up initiatives, keeping an eye on the (local) policy related to Fair Trade, working with volunteers and local activists.

We are looking for one Action and advocacy officers:

1. Starting September 2026 (12 months) (Application open until the 24th of June)

The focus of this position is on content creation, campaigning and networking.

We are looking for two Communication Officers:

1. September 2026 - september 2027 (Application open until the 24th of June)
2. January 2027 - January 2028 (Applications open, no deadline)
